Behavior Consultation

COMPASS Behavior Consultation involves a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) providing expert guidance in designing, implementing, and overseeing behavior intervention plans and comprehensive ABA programs. These plans aim to address specific behaviors, improve skill acquisition, and promote positive behavioral changes, for neurodiverse individuals or those with developmental or intellectual differences.

Key aspects of our behavior consultation:

  • Assessment: We conduct a thorough assessment to identify the functions and triggers of specific behaviors.

  • Plan Development: We design individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) based on assessment findings, incorporating strategies like positive reinforcement and skills building techniques.

  • Supervision and Support: BCBAs supervise and train others (e.g., Registered Behavior Technicians) in implementing the intervention plans.

  • Evaluation and Modification: We monitor the effectiveness of the plans, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Collaboration: We often collaborate with parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to create a cohesive support system.

  • Diverse Settings: We work in various settings, including homes, schools, clinics, and other community-based locations.
