Supervision & Mentorship

Aspiring BCBA Mentorship & Supervision: COMPASS offers supervision towards certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. We are able to offer BCBA supervision to candidates in Marin and Sonoma Counties. This includes:

  • Skill Development: Mentors help aspiring BCBAs refine their clinical skills, including assessment, intervention design, and implementation of evidence-based practices.

  • Ethical Guidance: Mentors guide trainees in adhering to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board's (BACB) Professional and Ethical Compliance Code.

  • Ethical Decision-Making: Supervisors guide trainees through discussions on ethical dilemmas and considerations, reinforcing adherence to the BACB's ethical standards in all aspects of practice.

  • Professional Development: Mentors share valuable insights, experiences, and resources, and can assist mentees in career advancement and networking within the ABA community.

  • Enhanced Confidence and Competence: Working with an experienced and supportive mentor can boost the confidence and competence of BCBA candidates, preparing them to handle complex cases effectively.

  • Developing Soft Skills: Supervision should extend beyond technical competencies to nurture essential soft skills, such as communication, professionalism, cultural humility, and leadership, which are crucial for success as a BCBA.
